The Challenge:
Marketing in Maritime faced the challenge of organising an in-person event during London International Shipping Week on September 13th, 2023. The event, titled "Marketing AI: A Double-Edged Sword?" aimed to reshape marketing approaches in the maritime industry, focusing on AI and modern marketing technologies for industry professionals and marketers.
Key Objectives:
The main goals were to transform marketing strategies within the maritime industry and create a platform for industry experts and networking professionals to educate and connect with the audience. Additionally, the objective was to facilitate networking opportunities for the Marketing in Maritime community, offer marketing insights to participants, and raise awareness about the brand, its upcoming initiatives, and its significance to maritime marketers. It was also vital to showcase the contributions of Marketing in Maritime’s owners and partners, promote sponsors, and generate revenue. Furthermore, the aim was to provide tangible benefits and resources for delegates and sponsors, host the event at an appealing and easily accessible maritime venue, foster relationships and partnerships, and encourage engagement and feedback.
Our Approach:
Our strategic approach focused on high-profile speakers, panel discussions, networking opportunities, and promotional activities. Keynote presentations and panel discussions were led by industry experts, while social media marketing, managed by our creative team, promoted the event. Project management and sponsorship sales were overseen by our dedicated team members, and the event script was crafted and hosted by our Managing Director. Additionally, video interviews and AV management were handled by our team. We provided tangible assets such as presentation decks, roll-up banners, social media assets, attendee badges, a registration platform, an after-event report, a highlights video, a website event page, and live entertainment.
Impact:
The event attracted 184 registered attendees and saw high audience engagement through polls and Q&A sessions. We successfully secured sponsors for the event, meeting our objectives and receiving positive feedback from attendees.
